FRIENDSHIP

FRIENDSHIP

FRIENDSHIP

I have learned that friendship isn’t about who you’ve known the longest, it’s about who came and never left your side.

Grazie Iena.

Two Men enter a bar frequented only by the owner and a Client intent on gulping down a freshly baked, still-steaming croissant. Outside it is dark, it is still over an hour before the sun peeks out to illuminate a new day and a new sunrise to be lived and celebrated.

The two individuals both wear a black shirt on which stands a white writing and a cubital M surmounted by a large dot, both wearing a hat and sunglasses.

The men’s appearance makes the bar’s owner  attentive to those who enter his coffee shop. The Client is too busy enjoying her warm croissant but when the sleepy eye falls on the ankles of one of the two men she barely holds the rattle of the cream that goes sideways. He bares his eyes and stares at those ankles, wrapped in transparent film, at the foot a pair of disposable hotel slippers and on the left shin a Celtic crucifix and sinister epitaph that stands out tattooed.

Discreetly she looks up and crosses other man’s eyes who observes her with an amused sneer. One of them consumes a coffee and take the road that will lead them to the sea.

Two men as different as they are similar in supporting their ideals and following values that have for them the sense of words carved in stone. Two men who also confront each other harshly and do not hide.

Two men who dare to tell each other what is wrong and what mistakes they make. Two men who, in telling each other the truth and highlighting the shadow areas of each other, can be defined as Friends.

Thanks Iena
