“every man is share twice in his life, one inspire the world in extraordinary point and one in choosing what he want to be in response. This is the paradox in been human”
As humans we have a “double birth”: first, when we are thrust into the world with a specific potential (the “extraordinary point”), and second, when we consciously decide who we are going to be in spite of, or because of, our circumstances.
1. The Inspiration of the “Extra Point”
This is the part of life that feels like destiny or raw talent. It’s the spark we are born with—the unique perspective or “extra point” that the world sees in us before we even see it in ourselves.
- The Gift: It’s what makes a person stand out.
- The Impact: It inspires others because it represents pure, unearned potential.
2. The Choice of “Response”
This is the second “birth,” and often the more difficult one. It is the moment we stop being a product of our environment and start being a product of our will.
- The Agency: Choosing what you want to be is an act of rebellion against mere “potential.”
- The Character: This is where true humanity lies—not in what you can do, but in what you choose to do with your life.
The Paradox: Being vs. Becoming
The paradox is that we are simultaneously fixed (by our innate traits) and fluid (by our choices).
| Aspect | The extra point | The response |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Nature / Grace / Luck | Character / Will / Effort |
| Role | The “Seed” | The “Gardener” |
| Feeling | Being discovered | Being created |
“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” — Viktor Frankl
A man isn’t “complete” until he has navigated both: being a light to the world through his gifts, and being true to himself through his choices.
